We collect nothing. 🐾

QR Puppy is a static website. Everything — making codes, scanning them, batch export, PDFs — happens entirely inside your own browser. There is no back end to send data to, so there's nothing for us to collect, sell, or lose.

What we don't do

• No accounts. You never sign up, log in, or give us an email.
• No cookies or tracking. We set no cookies and load no analytics, tag managers, pixels, or fingerprinting scripts.
• No third parties. Every library, font and image is hosted on our own domain — no CDNs, ad networks or external calls that could see you.
• No servers processing your content. The URLs, Wi-Fi passwords, contact details and images you put into QR Puppy stay on your device. They are never uploaded.
• No "phone home." Even our error handling shows you a friendly message locally instead of reporting anything back to us.

What actually happens to your data

When you make or scan a code, it is encoded or decoded by JavaScript running on your machine. When you scan with the camera, the video frames are processed on-device and never leave it. The only network requests your browser makes are to download the site's own static files — the same files for everyone — which happens once and then works offline.

The two things stored on your device (only there)

• Your theme choice (light/dark) and recent designs are kept in your browser's local storage so the app remembers them. This never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
• The offline app cache (a service worker) stores the site's files so it works without a connection. It contains no personal data.

Hosting

The site is served as static files from GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may process standard server request logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the page and protect against abuse; this is GitHub's infrastructure, governed by GitHub's privacy statement, and QR Puppy neither adds to it nor receives it.

Children

QR Puppy collects no personal information from anyone, including children. It's safe to use in classrooms.

Questions or changes

QR Puppy is open source, so you can verify every one of these claims in the code yourself. If this policy ever changes, the change will be visible in the project's public history. There is no data to request, correct or delete, because we never had any.
