Some of this is worth writing down, because the rest of the industry charges for all of it.
- Keeping your code alive. A static code has no off switch. There will never be a QR Puppy invoice that decides whether your printed flyers still work.
- Scan volume. We don't see your scans, so we couldn't meter them if we wanted to.
- Basic customisation. Colours, shapes, logos, frames, error-correction level, SVG export — free. Charging $9 for rounded corners is exactly the behaviour this site exists to complain about.
- Removing a watermark. There isn't one.
- Your own data. No export fee, because there's nothing of yours held anywhere to export.
If QR Puppy ever shut down tomorrow, every code ever made here would carry on working, because none of them point at us. That's the test we hold every one of these business lines to.
